The hotel has a great location right in the heart of the Gaslamp district, making it easy to explore the area. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, which added a personal touch to my stay. However, the rooms weren't exactly what I expected as the view wasn't as impressive as advertised, and the dining experience was just okay given the prices. Overall, the value seems reasonable considering the location and service, but there were a few drawbacks.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms provided a cozy atmosphere with a nice log fire and a small balcony, but I was disappointed as the view wasn't as advertised; it faced the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum instead of a city view.
Service
9.0
The service was top-notch with very friendly and helpful staff. They were always available if I needed anything, and I appreciated the fresh towels daily.
Location
10.0
The location was fantastic, situated right at the intersection of 4th Avenue & Island Avenue. It was close to all the bars, restaurants, and shopping areas, making it perfect for strolling around.
Dining
6.0
The dining options were decent but didn't wow me; one meal felt overpriced for what I got. The buffet was good value though, and the staff were very helpful.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had nice facilities but seemed a bit limited in activities available, especially if you're looking for more than just a cozy stay.

6.4/10

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the location was fantastic, right in the heart of the Gaslamp District and close to the waterfront, the rooms left a bit to be desired, feeling dusty and not quite as luxurious as the photos suggested. The staff was generally friendly and helpful, but there were moments of slowness in service. Overall, it's a good spot for exploring the area, but don’t expect perfect amenities.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms felt dusty in hard-to-reach areas, and I was disappointed there was no fridge or microwave. There were also very few electrical outlets, and the shower handle seemed like it was about to fall off.
Service
7.0
Service was a mixed bag. Most staff members were friendly and helpful, especially a gentleman who stood out for his humor and assistance. However, there were times when the service felt extremely slow.
Location
9.0
I loved the location! It was perfect for walking to my business conference a couple of blocks away and close to attractions like Seaport Village and Petco Park.
Dining
6.0
Dining was okay, but it was extremely crowded. While the staff was friendly, I felt the prices were a bit on the high side for what you got.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities didn't quite match the grand expectations set by the hotel's photos. Basic amenities were lacking, which was disappointing.
